APC Cardiovascular, is a leading supplier of innovative medical products and equipment to the UK and international markets. Hive have now developed two WordPress website designs for the brand.

Sport Exercise Monitoring

Hive were first approached to develop a new product website for them. This new site was to showcase their range of monitoring devices, software and accessories. Specifically for use in research, sports, professional and medical sectors.

As the product range would mainly be sold to academic institutions the website was built to generate a quote request. Rather than purchase online. This would enable the sales team to then personally follow-up enquiries. This was critical in enabling APC to start to build long term customer relationships with each researcher who makes contact and ‘start a conversation’.

The clean colour palette of APC’s branding is reflected throughout the website to create a fresh, clean design.

The new website design allowed APC to take this product range into an online retail marketplace and streamline their sales process. The project was successfully completed to a very tight timescale which was key to this project.

Radiation Protection

Following the success of this project, Hive were selected to build a subsequent site for APC’s range of made-to-measure x-ray aprons.

Due to the nature of the product range, a variety of bespoke features were required on the site.

Product Recommendation Guides

Firstly, an interactive product recommendation guide was created for both the eyewear protection and the x-ray aprons product ranges. These take a form of a quick questionnaire to help customers make the right product choices.

Product Options & Add-ons

Secondly, for the made-to-measure x-ray garments, a vast range of product options were available for customers. This required some careful planning and clever thinking to display them in a usable way. The options included the usual, such as colour and size, but also options such as length and strength. In addition, add-ons such as collars, pockets and monogramming needed to be available. This huge range of product options is one of APC’s key USP’s. And when we say ‘huge’ we mean it, for example they have 59 colour options! To showcase this in particular we wanted customers to be able to view product images in every available colour, at the click of a button. This feature was essential to enhance the user experience.

All the options were carefully organised to ensure it was as easy as possible for the customer to select and choose product options.

Size Guide & Calculator

Finally, another critical aspect was to ensure customers selected the right size garment. Not only was this important because of the protective nature of the product but also as they are made-to-measure, the sizing should be just right!

To aid this process, Hive produced an instructional video measurement guide and interactive size calculator. These features ensure that customers have no problems choosing the correct size garment. For both safety and comfort.

The new website allows APC to automate their quoting process, with the quote automatically generated online, and feeding directly into their accounting system. Saving a huge amount of time for both their sales and accounts teams.
